Joshua Stiefel serves as a Professional Staff Member for the House Armed Services Committee. Prior to moving to the Legislative Branch, Josh spent a decade in the Executive Branch, with the Departments of the Treasury and Defense, specializing in national security policy. He has worked extensively in both military and civilian enviornments, and deployed to Iraq in 2011 with U.S. Special Operations Forces. Concurrent to his work on Capital Hill, Josh is an officer with the Navy Reserve. He is a Team Member at the Council on Foreign Reltations and sits on the boards of the Council for Emerging National Security Affairs and the Harvard Veterans Alumni Organization's DC Chapter. He holds a Masters of Public Policy from Harvard University and a Bachelors of Arts with Honors from Lehigh University.
